In February of this year, Mort Taylor represented Signal Power & Light, Inc., at the Universidad de San Pedro Sula. Mort spoke on comparative legal systems and the practice of common law, which is rarely taught in law schools throughout Latin America. The topic of his presentation was “The Advantages of Common Law in Propagation of Business.”

The audience was comprised of the students from the law school as well as members of the Students for Liberty organization. Students for Liberty is an American non-profit organization whose mission is “to provide a unified, student driven forum of support for students and student organizations dedicated to liberty.”

This great event was sponsored by the Bastiat Society. Based out of Charleston, South Carolina, The Bastiat Society is an organization of ethical business leaders that work to “educate other wealth creators on their right to the moral high ground, and to help them understand the intellectual and cultural institutions that are necessary for individual success.”

Mort was able to spend time getting to know the students and learning more about the Students for Liberty and the Bastiat Society organizations.
